The main things you'll want to bring are good footwear for use while boating, dry changes of clothing, sun protection and a sleeping bag and tent. With prior notice, we can provide sleeping bags and tents if needed. The Rogue is usually warm although rain and chilly weather can occur any time.
On the morning of your trip, we meet you at the Galice Resort & General Store at 8:00 am. If you would like to have your car shuttled to the end of the trip, you can make arrangements at the Galice Store. After packing your gear in our waterproof bags, we drive to our launch location.

Trip Insurance
We highly recommend purchasing trip insurance. Our cancellation policy is in our Trip Details. Here is Travelex's website: http://www.travelexinsurance.com. TraveLite is a good policy and our location number is: 05-1868 and name of our company is Idaho River Journeys LLC.
Getting To The Rogue River
The Rogue River is located in southwest Oregon, about 400 miles north of San Francisco and 250 miles south of Portland. You should plan on arriving in the area the day before your trip launches. If you are planning to fly to the area, the Medford, Oregon airport serves most major airlines. Shuttle service is available from the airport to our meeting place. Our Trip Details have information about arranging a shuttle from the airport.

Area Information
Many of our guests combine their Rogue River rafting trip with attending the Shakespeare Festival in Ashland. Another popular nearby attraction is Crater Lake National Park, the headwaters of the Rogue River. If you have your car shuttled to our take-out location, the spectacular Pacific Coast is about an hour's drive west.
