Safari Tour, Hanging Bridges, and Hot Springs: Day 8


10-Day Itinerary:

Day 1:
 Arrive in San Jose.
Day 2:
 Tortuguero rain forest kayaking.
Day 3:
 Tortuguero rain forest kayaking and exploring Tortuguero.
Day 4:
 Transfer from Tortuguero. Launch on the Pacuare River.
Day 5:
 Horseback riding in the Pacuare Canyon.
Day 6:
 Canopy tour and hiking.
Day 7:
 Pacuare River rafting to take-out, transfer to Fortuna.
Day 8:
 Safari tour, hanging bridges, natural hot springs.
Day 9:
 Morning hike to Arenal Volcano. Transfer back to San Jose.
Day 10:
 Depart San Jose.

DAY 8

After a nights rest at the famous Mountain Paradise Hotel, we'll take a floating safari tour down the Penas Blancas River. An expert naturalist will guide us down the river, pointing out wildlife along the way.

After the tour, we will shuttle to the Arenal Hanging Bridges National Park. These long bridges reach heights of over 140 feet and give visitors breathtaking views of the surrounding area, including Arenal Volcano. A wide variety of birds migrate through this area and monkeys are commonly seen high up in the trees. Don't look down if you are scared of heights!

After the Hanging Bridges tour, we'll head to a natural hotsprings to soak in water heated by the nearby volcano. Incredibly relaxing...
